The Cold Shoulder

So, let’s get real. What’s this reinventing all about?

Is it repairing? Is it doing over? Is it starting your life over from scratch?

Truth be told, it is about creating the life, or something in your life, intentionally. For me, I WANTED to preserve my life. I was at a dead-end. I had not taken care of myself, and in the process, almost lost my life. I was morbidly obese, with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and blood 🩸 sugars through the roof. Not a good combo. So why would it surprise me to learn that my life was hanging on by a thread?

It’s like a garden. When you don’t take care of something, don’t pay attention to it and don’t nurture it, it eventually dies.

But when we tend to it, ꧁☬voila☬꧂, it blooms.

I went from morbidly obese, to a healthier body weight. I paid attention, finally, to what I was doing; how I was tending to myself. How I was caring for, ME. My journey is still a work-in-progress. I have miles to go, but the key is that each day is a new opportunity to work with intention. I’ve infused fitness into my life and healthier eating habits. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that new actions/thoughts become new habits. These habits then become routines. The routines become a lifestyle and then embedded into who you are.

These five principles have become the foundation of The Reinvented Life brand.

I was no longer willing to give myself the cold shoulder. Instead, I am proud of my shoulders and proud of how I’m emerging.

It takes courage. It takes grit. But, it can be done. I encourage you not to give yourself the cold shoulder any longer.
